London Fashion Week Part One

Hi Everyone
This was my first attempt at London Fashion Week. So much to report, it will go into two post's. Part one for my daytime events and part two for the evening.

Firstly I was invited to Soho House to view Hema Kaul....

Hema's collection was a mix of beautiful lace and organza, with colour blocking and origami like structure

The intricate lace and hue's of blue made these outfits beautiful

We were treated to tea/coffee croissants/pain Au chocolate and platters of fruit. The surroundings were really cosy, and it was good to meet other bloggers at the event too. Actually, this picture was taken from a blogger I met at the event. Helena of Beaut_Chic writes a fashion and beauty blog, find her HERE

Most of Hema's outfits were very sheer, I felt the fabric and 3d structure made these designs that would be classic, very edgy and on trend.

Loved the pleated effect here on the Jumpsuit and dress, A gorgeous aubergine colour and made in a fabric that just floated.....

You can find out more about Hema Kaul by heading to her website HERE
So that was my fun filled Saturday morning. I had a little walk around Soho, the weather was lovely and I love that city buzz.

Monday morning came, the weather was horrendous! I was needing to catch two buses to the Kings Road, and boy did I get a soaking!
I say I needed to catch two buses, the traffic was at a standstill, I got on the first bus, got down the road, then the message came out the loud speaker "Sorry this bus is terminating"!!! Well this happened twice more, each time having to get off and onto another bus, getting soaked in between! So what should have taken my journey less than an hour, turned into two!

Scoop London is a fashion extravaganza and well worth getting wet for! Three floors of beautiful new designers to discover, held in the Saatchi Gallery. I love to find new labels, not so well known, that I can recommend to my readers for perusal, and through time I will be featuring my favourites in later post's......

Some beautiful designs on the Missoni Ponchos stand. Take a look at her designs HERE

Three Dots, had some beautiful colours and laser cut pieces HERE

Nadia Minkoff had the most sumptuous handbags in gorgeous colours

Purses and clutch bags to match, this was one of my favourites of the day HERE

Beautiful colours for next summer, I love this baby blue shade, and also a growing fan of anything laser cut

Loved the style and cut of the blouse's displayed on the Sophie Cameron Davies stand. Take a look at her brand HERE

There were so many stands with new trend accessories, this in my opinion was the best there. Sweety Jane HERE had some fabulous pieces on offer

We were given a disc to receive a free glass of bubbly, that went down a treat!

When I left the gallery I took advantage of the little shopping mews just outside the gallery, I squealed like a little girl when I saw this Mary Quant shop.

Felt old Knowing I knew this brand from first time around! great to see it back to life and lovely to see though

And then time for a cuppa! and than goodness the rain had stopped! If your ever in London, I recommend a visit to the Saatchi Gallery, there is always something going on there, so worth checking out. Plus all the little surrounding shops.

So that was part one of my London fashion week. I can tell you my legs felt like they were going to drop off! I can tell you it was such a great couple of days.
See you next week for my post on the evening catwalk show

HAVE YOU GOT YOUR PUSSY BOW ON YET?

Hi Everyone
Phew, such a busy weekend has just flown by, and Monday I was at Scoop London (more about that later) Then an all day stay at the hospital with the other half, and I just don't know where the time went !. Someone get me a rewind gadget please!

I was at a press morning sat, a fashion show Saturday night, relaxed on Sunday (my legs felt like they were going to drop off!)

So I had this event to attend, and you know I had such a hard decision about what to wear. I didn't want to look too dressed up, and I didn't want to look like I hadn't made an effort!

For a while now I have fancied one of these new pussy bow type blouses. Long sleeves, high neck, covering the right places for me (I hate my neck it's so wrinkly!)
I bought this one from Tu clothing at sainsbury's. Love the colour and the pattern. I teamed it with my favourite Primark trousers, very comfy for the bus journey into London. The weather was horrendous, and I got a near soaking!

I thought I would share with you some of the other "pussy bow" blouse's I have my eye on......

This cream blouse is the same as the one I bought from Tu at Sainbury's I am tempted to buy it in the plain material because it can be worn with so much more. but I couldn't resist the patterned one that I bought. This one is £18.75 HERE

Love, love this beautiful teal coloured satin blouse, one of my favourite colours for aw/15 get this asap if you love it as much, this is going to be a sell out piece £35.00
HERE  It comes in a lovely  truffle colour too.

I have put this one into the post for those of you that don't like the tie right up to the neck idea. This one ties at the chest area. From MandCo £26.00 HERE  A great colour for Christmas too

Love the pattern on this one from New Look £19.99 A great price, and will go with all that lovely suede that's out there at the mo. See it HERE (in bigger print too! sorry)

Another cream one here, this time from Dorothy Perkins with a thinner tie and button front, so it can be worn tied up at the neck or lower if required £17.50 HERE

I saved what I think is the best till last. Definitely going on my wish list is this sumptuous silk blouse from Ghost. A beautiful truffle colour, and who doesn't like real silk? £89.00 HERE

Or this one from FandF in a gorgeous rust colour. I don't think the model is doing this blouse justice to be honest. I saw it at the FandF event HERE and it's much nicer than it looks. A bargain too at £16.00 Available in black as well HERE

So what do you think of the pussy bow blouse? It can be worn in many ways, with jeans,(flared or skinny) a pencil skirt , with leather and suede. It will really update any item.  maybe your ahead of me and already deposited one in your wardrobe? please let me know...

Cheers to you all!
please don't look too close at my rain soaked hair! Will tell all about Scoop London in the next post

JOUMANNA JEWELLERY 10% OFF!!!

Hi everyone
A while back I found a great jewellery brand on instagram called Joumanna Jewellery. We got chatting and they kindly offered me one of their beautiful pieces. It's exciting when this happens and makes blogging all the more worth while!

Here is what I was gifted....

I am so pleased with the bangle, it has barely been off my wrist! it's called the Alma Bamboo Bangle 18k gold plated with swarovski crystals and champagne coloured crystals. So unusual, you must all be aware now how I love anything sparkly, and this sure fits the bill.

They also kindly offered 10% off to my readers , so I will provide the code at the end of this post. it's that time of year approaching again isn't it? (Christmas dare I say it !) So I love it when I find something different to give. So I will tell you a little more about Joumanna Jewellery as you scroll through the gorgeous items that I would choose, or you can go to their website HERE
Most of the Jewellery that Joumanna have to offer come in different precious metals and gemstones. I love this bangle, like the one I was gifted but in silver. dressed with pearls and swarovski elements Chrystal's

How intricate is the design of this beautiful hand crafted bangle? Joumanna's statement is "ACCSESSORIES MAKE THE OUTFIT, DON'T MAKE A STATEMENT, WEAR ONE!"

There is so much to discover, large statement pieces to wear alone or little beauties like this worn on their own, or that can be stacked together.

Now this is one statement piece ! 18k gold plate cuff with different colour gemstones

I'm thinking of putting these beauties on my ever growing Christmas list. Stunning.

All items are hand crafted by different designers at Joumanna. These flowers are so intricate

I like the rawness of these, a little bit more edgy. Great for day or night

Such a great statement piece, bang on trend in 18k gold plate. Really special.

I think this is so unusual and contemporary, this is available in rose, silver or black gold plating

So, I hope you like what you see, take a look at the website, there is so much more. Here is how I am wearing my bangle today

A casual day today, with a sheer shirt and comfy trousers. The bangles dress it up just right.

I have also paired my bangle with some other gold plated bangles I already have, and I love how they all sit nicely together.

A big thank you to Joumanna Jewellery for my bangle. I love it * Here is the code to get 10% off it's  vanityandme10   Visit  JOUMANNA JEWELLERY

AGA COUTURE - GIVE A WARM WELCOME

Hi Everyone
For many years, as long as I can remember I have always wanted to attend London Fashion Week. Ever since I bought my first Vogue magazine at the age of twelve, I Have cooed over special haute couture dreaminess. Haute couture to me isn't just fashion it's an art.
I have just found a new syber friend on instagram. Agnieszka Klaput, A very talented lady who owns this fabulous label called Aga Couture............

                                        photography credit-Renata Turlejska model-Magdalena Wierdak

Agnieszka Klaput a London based polish designer will be showing her collection for the second time this year at London Fashion Week. I asked her what her collection would be like this year?
 "SHADES OF WHITE"
" So much fighting going on and people running. White is the colour of peace, gentleness and positive thinking" ....Such beautiful words.

photography-Michal Staniewski model-Olivia Arben @sw12 model management Location The English Speaking Union London

Agnieszka's ready to wear fashion collection as seen below. Her vision is to adorn women in clothes that make them feel respected, yet desirable, sensual, individual and of course beautiful.

Leather and fur, the perfect combination for a bang on trend dress. With a little diamonte sparkle to add femininty. A show stopper

This outfit to me screams sophistication with a very modern edge. No need to accessorise here.

                                     Photography-Erik Stefanovic Damma Model-Sophie Hodges sst-Deigh Alex

This dress ! Looks fantastic on this model here, but I think it's a classic design that many age groups could wear, including myself!

Photography-Erik Stefanovic Dama Model Sophie Hodges sst Deigh Alex

And I love the modern structure of this monochrome top. The Aga Couture brand presents colours of muted tones of black, white, brown and grey. All very easy to slip into your wardrobe to mix and match and create new looks.

Materials of silk and hand beading create this beautiful dress of gorgeous cream and gold colour tones

                                                 Photography-Daniel Mancoeur Dama model-Tara Kirsty

Dresses like this will not be found in your average high street store. Stand out in the crowd and be noticed!

Agnieszka also designs bespoke wedding dresses, Imagine having your own crafted, hand beaded, silk dream dress......

Bridesmaids are also catered for. I love this design, the way the body swirls in the front. Take away the hand beading, and it's the perfect evening dress. This could come out to play year after year

I wasn't going to put this picture into this post, because this gorgeous dress, it's just peeping from it's protective cover, but for me, this is the dreamiest of them all..... A hand painted silk dress which I think is absolutely stunning

As I said I have always wanted to attend London Fashion week, and I have received a Kind Invite from Agnieszka. I am so excited to see the new collection. But oh to be a fly on the wall backstage, where all the hustle and bustle is going on..........

If you would like to take a closer look at Aga Couture you can view the website HERE
Agnieszka really is a talented, warm, friendly creative woman. And I wish her all the best of luck for her London Fashion Week show
