Fashion and beauty blog for the more mature woman not ready to hang up the high heels yet.

Hi Everyone
That time of year is here again, time to get cosy and snuggle up indoors. Did you get an extra lay in when the clocks went back? What did you do with your extra hour?
For me, there's nothing better than being snuggled up on the sofa, wrapped in something super soft and my big snugly fur blanket, listening to the radio and pottering about on my tablet. Instagram is by far my favourite, mainly watching the fashions and seeing who is wearing what. Every now and then I find a special hidden gem, something I want to tell my readers about.........

Are a best friend duo based out of Brooklyn and London, creating designs with a difference. Smart, sophisticated, each creation is of what I would say "a classic design with a pop of difference" Soft but rock and roll....

This two piece suit for instance, classic cut but add the lapels and the pockets in contrasting leopard print...Voila! Statement, edgy, chic and at the front of fashion....

I love the how this suit has been styled with softened with the black trim and up to date trouser length

This two piece, again with the softened edge is stunning, and can be mixed with other items. Pieces that can come out of your wardrobe year after year and still be special. You can keep up to date with Natalie and Alanna's Instagram HERE

This soft suede dress is from the spring summer 16 collection beautifully detailed with  laced  through detail

Bell sleeves!! These are going to be so big! I make my prediction now, I have seen a few in the magazines lately, they are going to be a wardrobe updater and I love them

You can find all of Natalie and Alanna's creations on their newly launched website HERE and there is a special 15% off discount code

All of Natalie And Alanna's collection are manufactured in New York but are available for shipping to Europe and the UK

So when your snuggled up on your sofa, browsing through your Internet, take a look at this special brand and find something a little different. You wont be disappointed,

Hi Everyone
Well that time has definitely arrived, time to get the winter woollies out! Have you been watching the rugby world cup? I live just around the corner to the stadium, and let me tell you it's been absolute chaos when there is a match on, imagine an extra 82,000 people invading your town, that may give you an idea!

I did go and ask the UK team what happened though! No reply!

The winter wardrobe is well and truly unpacked now, with the odd summer top still hanging in there. I buy these long sleeve tops from Primark, I have so many colours, they are great under jackets, under sleeveless dresses and will go nicely under some summer tops, so you get a little extra wear out of them. Even under an unbuttoned shirt. You can add more interesting colour, at £4.00 a pop you cant go wrong.

This bag is old too, I have just added a leather tassel accessory to it to bring it a little more up to date

Comfy suede boots form next. I bought these in the sale late last year, so they still have a lot of wear in them, find similar HERE

Searching on line this week, I did find a really really good bargain......

In black or cream, I have ordered myself a black one, an on trend staple at the mo. Wear with a dress, jeans or trousers

Tempted to buy in cream too, I would wear this with a black shirt or polo and black trousers. Drum roll for the price.......... A whole £12.00 !!! HERE

Have you found any fab bargains out there? do share.... Till next week

Hi Everyone
Have you got your winter warmers out yet? I am just in the throws of swapping my Summer wardrobe to winter. It was only a couple of weeks ago that I would stroll down the garden at 6.30 to feed the squirrels, now it's pitch black at that time...

What's top of your wish list regarding your fashion wardrobe this year? Do please share your thoughts. My wish list is endless...
Anyway enough rambling on, I wanted to share with you a great idea.
My friend from Instagram Brittany of Savvy Sleepers asked if I would like to try their range of silk pillowcases.

And of course I said yes please! So let me tell you a little bit about them....
They are made from 100% pure satin, and they are not flimsy, it's really good quality & gorgeous to the touch. They have a little pocket in the side for storing away little items (I will be using a lavender sachet in mine)
But the best thing about this pillowcase is that my hair does not frizz so much. I have really, really frizzy hair and normally I have to tie it up at bedtime. So the last few nights I have left it loose, and hey presto, it's been great!

Now apparently this pillowcase is supposed to give you less sleep lines on your face in the mornings too. My face takes on average these day's an hour to actually look awake, and I can honestly say that it has been better.

I chose to have the colour of Nappuccino Neautral, because it will contrast with all the colours of my bedding, but there are so many colours to choose from. take a look at their website SAVVY SLEEPERS

So, that's it from me, going to have a lady of the manor moment on the sofa, fur blanket, silk dressing gown, Savvy Sleepers pillow and favourite tv...... hang on who's going to make the tea?!!!!

Hi Everyone
As promised, here is my  post all about the evening fashion show that I attended. Thank you so much everyone for your kind comments on last weeks post, knowing that I publish something of interest for my readers is a joyful feeling to me.

As I said before, many years I have longed to attend such an event, and boy did it reach my expectations. If you have been longing to visit LFW take the plunge, buy that ticket and go!

This fashion extravaganza was held at the fabulous Amber Charring Cross Hotel. You walk out of Charring Cross station and the hotel, a very grand one at that is situated right alongside it.

We were shown to the magnificent room with the long catwalk.......

Rows of chairs, each wrapped with a pretty bow finished off the scene, each one topped of with a gift bag filled with goodies to take home. I sat taking in the surroundings and people watching.

Let the show begin.........

Remember a few weeks back I wrote about Aga Couture ? If you didn't read it  HERE

And  here is the new collection

It was all so beautiful, and no I don't mean the Kirby grips in the lady's hair that was sat in front of me! I was sitting  2nd row in and found it impossible to get a good shot. So I spoke to a few of the designers and asked nicely for some pictures of the show, so my readers get a view as good as I could see, if not better. I will let the pictures do the talking.....

Aga Couture

How stunning is this collection? colours of white, silver, cream and mocca. And the detailing didn't finish at the front, it was just as good at the back. Silk and lace , the best materials for femininity , they all glided down that catwalk like a dream.

Omar Mansoor

I came across Omas's creations on Instagram, and was lucky enough to see them all in the flesh at the show. The first dress pictured below was one of my favourites from the show. A perfect summer dress for special occasions.......

I loved the military style softened with floaty materials and feminine detail. Omar creates designs for Royal Ascot, has styled actresses and royalty. He could create a dress for me any day! Omar is based in South Kensington or You can find his beautiful creations HERE Take a look and dream away......

Lenie Boya

Now before I start rolling out the photo's of Lenie's creations, there was also something special going on in her show. The fabulous Stefanie Reid our paralympian medal winner was the star of her show. A first amputee to model on the runway. I saw Stefanie on the BBC news talking about this, and boy did she do Lenie proud. see the picture below

Truly inspiring, and looking totally gorgeous in this piece of art work.

I love the ruffles on the neckline, I could get into wearing one of those, and the sheer panels on the dresses I thought were beautiful. And how clever is the swan dress ?

Lenie isn't just a designer , she is also the founder of Revival Boutique. A high end designer dress agency in Oxford. I will definitely be paying a visit when passing by that way, it looks really interesting with everything you could wish for under one roof. Who knows, I might even get to try on some fashion delicacies, if I do I will be telling all about it. Find the online agency HERE

After many rapturous applause's, the show came to an end. I did pop in to the after show for a glass of bubbly and there were loads of Belgian chocolates and canapes
I managed to meet Agnieszka and Omar. And you know when you could truly kick yourself! I was so into it all, when I was sitting on the train on my way home, I thought "why didn't you ask a few questions?"  "Why didn't you get your picture done with them?" I just got swept away with it all and forgot that I was there to report all about it. I was in fashion heaven
