Hi Everyone
It’s a really blustery day here in Essex, I nearly got swept off my feet trying to take the photos for today’s post!
How are you celebrating your valentines day? Does it mean so much to you? Is it all ribbons and bows with a cherry on top? For me it’s no biggie, I cant eat out due to my allergies and I cant have any chocolate ANY! but I can have flowers or plants, so we will see…..I know that I am loved and that’s all that matters.

I do like to wear my heart blouse each valentines day though……

I have worn this blouse on valentines day a fair few years now, it’s seen some romantic times! A Karen Millen pussy bow blouse which has given me the cause to wear my new trousers……

I bought these trousers HERE for a bargain price of £12.00 It’s just so easy to slip items into your shopping trolley! a habit I need to break, I just cant resist looking!

But I must tell you about my special loving moment…..
Looking after my grandson at the weekend, he appeared from upstairs with a tiny silk flower in his hand, he came up to me and said “this is just for you nanny”

He had stolen this from one of mothers arrangements upstairs! (sorry mother your not getting it back) Now that is for me a real moment of love, and I will be cherishing that little flower always…
So I hope you all have some form of love on Valentines day this weekend, any special moments? I want to know…
XO Laurie

Awww! I don't know what is sweeter the blouse or the silk flower and it's precious giver. Probably the act of love from your grandson. That's really special. But then again, the blouse is too. I like it a lot and love that I'm not the only one that saves articles of clothing for special days! *winkwink*

Aw, what a sweet thing your grandson did.
I'm very bah humbug about Valentine's day. Overblown, unnecessary and if I see one more patchwork teddy bear on the front of a card holding a balloon I'll throw up. Can you tell I'm not a fan??? I am a fan of romance though and your blouse, which is uber cute – in a good way (unlike those blasted teddies)!

Well I hope it's neither a teddy or a soppy card you receive on the day, but a big dose of romance!
Thanks for stopping by. Laurie x

That was too cute of your grandson, Laurie! I adore your heart blouse. That is so cute. After more than 20 years of real life with my husband, I'll be honest and say that Valentine's Day just isn't that big of a deal to me anymore. It's our Anniversary, Christmas, another new year, every day that we can still laugh and the mornings when I get my goodbye kiss and "I love you" that matter more to me than what commercialism has turned St. Valentine's Day into. I've always been a little disappointed in the loss of the real import of St. Valentine's Day.

I know what you mean Regina, it is way too commercial. More than twenty years! now that is something to celebrate.

Awe, this is such a beautiful post Laurie!! Your heart probably melted when he came to you with the flower! These little moments truly matter the most. As to Valentine's Day, I think it's a reminder to celebrate love and people we love. In this busy life we just don't take a moment to say 'I love you' often enough… xoxo Zuma
