I would normally write a “what happened last month” post but there’s been very little going on in my world the last few weeks. Apart from that fabulous 24 hours that I had and a Superdrug Christmas event all has been very quiet with me staying in Essex and having some good family time. Everything is all packed up now and I’m just waiting for the date for completion. Until then I’m staying here to be close to the family and seeing as much of my grandchildren on a daily basis. So this monthly post is going to be about what I’ve been trying, Some OOTD shots and what I would recommend 100%. Items that I will definitely be replacing
OOTD Recommended #1
The Faux suede leggings pictured above were purchased last year. They have been re-released this year and are available in Black too.
I’ve worn these so much, they are excellent quality for the price, They don’t go baggy and wash really well. I will be buying the Black this year. They’ve stayed the same price too at £25.99 and worth every penny.
These boots were gifted to me by Hotter shoes. These are the Daffodil Collection. For every pair sold £20.00 is donated to the Marie Curie Cancer Care. You may remember my post earlier in the year? The pretty Daffodil plimsoles?
I found out the week of posting that mum had Cancer. Now the next season charity boot has landed and mum is gone. Sad huh? But mum was so over the moon with the treatment from her nurses I feel these are well worth a mention. Take a look at Hotter Shoes here. These cosy boots are available in other colours too.
OOTD Most Worn #2
The boots are out but no heavy coats needed yet. So many clear blue skies we’re having even now into November! I’ve worn this dress from Bonmarche so much. I plan to wear with a long sleeve T-shirt or light-weight jumper under when it’s colder. I actually talked about this dress in my latest vlog which I will list below.
What I’ve been buying
I fell in love with these boots. I had to go back and buy them! You may have seen their debut on the last post. Super comfortable, I’m now on the hunt for a pair of knee-high Black boots.
What I’ve been reading
I’m really enjoying this magazine kindly sent to me by the editor Rebecca Weef Smith who also runs a really good Facebook page called Wearing Wellbeing, This is a really interesting read and it’s edited with us more mature men/women in mind
Not wearing a jacket even in late October! I’ve been wearing this white shirt on repeat too. I wanted a casual go with anything kind of White shirt and I found this one and love it.
After having my hair and makeup done for the 50 Over 50 awards I got so many compliments about my hair! I debated about buying a wand for some time. Which do you prefer? The result was 50/50 on my stories. Are we connected on Instagram?
Beauty #What I’ve been buying
So. I’ve purchased the same wand and I’ve been practising using it. Yes, I used to be a hairdresser but doing your own hair with these is a different matter. I got this Babyliss Pro Conical Wand from Boots and it has a heat setting which I think is good. You have to be careful with these though on any setting and now I’m trying out different heat defence sprays. Any recommendations?
Beauty Can’t Live Without!
I love all my make up from Look Fabulous Forever but one item I use every day is the Brow Shape. (last on left) But I don’t use it as intended!
The other day I thought I had lost it and went into a bit of a panic! You know it’s a keeper when that happens! I’m leaving a link to the video so that you can see how I use it and I think it’s amazing! If you have sparsh eyelshes like me take look!
A new brand and 20% Off for readers
I’m super excited to tell you that I’m going to be working with Baukjen. A brand I’ve been cooing over for a while! They have some gorgeous items in for this AW 18 and I’m happy to tell you I will have a 20% off code for you all. Look out for the post this coming Tuesday.
Here’s the makeup video. take a look at my new must-have item
I’m also going to leave you with the latest fashion vlog too.
The lighting is not at it’s best in this vlog but I’m working on that! I hope you enjoy
