I’m a lover of any kind of stripey Top, Bretton or T-shirt This bright coloured striped one caught my eye. Looking in the wardrobe, all of my stripe tops are duo coloured stripes and thought this would make a nice change
This is the second edit for the fabulous Peacocks brand that has surprised me with their price v quality this year. I wrote about the dress and top a few weeks back and can report that it’s still as good as new and in one piece, and unlike other bargain brands that I’ve tried The peacocks quality has stayed good.
This is the second faux suede biker to enter my wardrobe. I love how fluid they are, comfortable and they wash very well in the machine! I think I can safely say it’s time to put away the big winter coats or is that wishful thinking?I love the colour of this biker, it’s dark but not black. It’s called charcoal but there’s a tiny hint of purple shining through I think.
The biker has a super soft feel and I think the colour works well with the stripes
We took these photos at a country lane in Essex and on my visit there I had forgotten my watch. Anyone else feel lost without one? I borrowed Sara’s chunky Micheal Kors and didn’t want to give it back!
I’ve paired the outfit with the sock boots from Peacocks that I chose last year. These were such a bargain and one thing I will say is that the clothing and shoes sell out very quickly online. I posted the dress on the blog a few weeks ago and it’s gone already, so you have to be quick
Can you just flatten that hair down?
Yes. It was a big hair day! A blow of the wind and I look like a sheepdog! Dee often advises on the little features when taking photos but I liked how this shot came out. I will add though, that a couple of inches has been chopped off of the hair since these photos!
The jeans are soft brushed denim and I’m pleased with the fit. A washed out Black, I would describe them as Charcoal, and a perfect match for the biker.
I’ve been meaning to ask if you like to browse via the lookbook ( the numbered circles?) Do you find it easier? But getting back to the jeans which are fab for only £16.00. I will report back at some point on how they wear and wash. They come true to size in my opinion and there are regular and short lengths available too.
I’m wearing regular and have just turned them slightly. I might try the short length next time but I always find I’m an in-between length.
I’m enjoying finding different places to take photos in Essex. It’s just so much more countryfied than at home in London. It makes a nice change and I love discovering little hidden roads like this and it’s a lot quieter than at home.
I like the bright colours in the striped top. It’s a ribbed material, so it’s comfortable and not restricting in any way. It will work well with the Mustard coloured faux suede biker that I have too.
So I’d like to hear your thoughts on buying from more reasonably priced brands. Do you prefer to spend more money and buy less or do you like to bargain shop? I would say I’m a bit of both and I love to find a good sale buy.
